MSA ALTAIR 5X MULTIGAS IR-EX GAS DETECTOR
The MSA ALTAIR 5X can measure up to six gases simultaneously and can be fitted with a wide range of both toxic and infrared sensors, providing the flexibility needed for most applications. This version is equipped with the Infrared EX sensor only.
At the heart of the ALTAIR 5X are the MSA XCell sensors, now also expanded with SO2, Cl2, and NH3. Superior stability, accuracy, repeatability, fast response time, and long life characterize the new MSA XCell sensors.
They have a remarkably long life and the standard sensors are designed for an average life of more than four years (more than three years for SO2, Cl2, and NH3).
These new sensors provide faster response/ clear times, bump testing in less than 10 seconds, and span calibration of 60 seconds for common configurations, thanks to the microelectronics in the sensor. XCell Sensors provide greater signal stability and repeatability under varying or extreme environmental conditions and are plug-and-play.
The sensor life indication provides the user with a timely advanced warning, preventing the instrument from being used. suddenly having to miss a service.

Data logging: Instrument must be available with standard data logging. Event log: Instrument shall record at least 1000 events. Data log capacity: Data log shall record and store data for average of 200 hours (at 1-minute intervals) without overwriting existing information during normal use. Gas record content: Data log entries shall contain as minimum date, time and record of peak and average readings for each gas sensor (oxygen shall be recorded as maximum and minimum for these intervals).
