Overview

The Milwaukee MA883 Digital °Baumé Refractometer measures the density of liquids on the Baumé scale, a practical unit widely used in the food, chemical and industrial sectors. Reading the refractive index of a small sample, it delivers a fast, accurate Baumé value without the difficulty of interpreting an optical scale.

Automatic temperature compensation keeps readings consistent between 10 and 40 °C, measurement takes about 1.5 seconds, and only two drops of sample are needed. The rugged IP65 housing makes the MA883 dependable in production, laboratory and field environments.
