The PCE-RCM 12 environmental meter is used for indicative testing of environmental parameters. The environmental measuring device PCE RCM 12 enables the measurement of CO2, particulate matter, temperature, and relative humidity. The bright display of the environmental measuring device provides information about these parameters. Environmental monitoring can be performed continuously with the environmental meter for up to five hours without the device being connected to a power source.

For continuous measurement, the environmental measuring device can be connected to alternating currents via a USB interface. The battery charges in two hours when the air quality monitor is off. When measuring carbon dioxide, the meter has a wide range from 0 to 9,999 ppm. The visualization of concentrations is further facilitated by the use of a color grading scale, as it provides the user with direct air quality information.

In addition to the indicative measurement of the harmful formaldehyde, an indicative measurement of the particle load can also be carried out. A distinction is made between particles with a maximum diameter of up to 10 μm (PM10) and particles with a diameter of up to 2.5 μm (PM2.5).
