Online water analyzers can struggle due to process disturbances and unexpected conditions that push measurements out of range or damage the sensor. Because unpleasant conditions can be short-lived, they make sampling difficult.

The Turner Designs  TD Sample Thief takes a water sample on command at the push of a manual button or a signal from an online water analysis or monitoring system. A sample cylinder, sequenced isolation valves, and a flexible control system allow individual water sample collection for detailed analysis at the operator’s convenience. When sampling, the time, date, measured concentration, and handling conditions are recorded and the operator is alerted.

In addition to collecting samples triggered by unpleasant conditions, TD Sample Thief can also collect samples for periodic monitoring. These samples can be prepared for analysis by solvent extraction or solvent-free methods directly in the sample cylinder.

The TD-120, TD-4100XD, and TD-4100XDC Oil in Water Monitors is designed for seamless operation with the TD Sample Thief.
