The Mitutoyo 500-174-30 Digimatic calipers allow you to take accurate measurements and provide you with the following advantages:

Jaws with a carbide tip for exterior measuring
This caliper may be used without worrying about contamination on the scale face since it uses an electromagnetic induction type ABS encoder. The surface of a scale’s filth (water, oil, etc.) has no effect on the detection signal.
The slider offers pleasant, steady, and fluid movement.
Character height: 9 mm (high-contrast LCD alleviates eye strain)
The ABS (ABSOLUTE) scale has no reaction speed cap and needs no initial origin setting.

1 First, make sure the caliper jaws are clean.
The existence of pleats, dust, etc. between the jaws of the caliper causes measurement errors.
2 Then, after closing the jaws, use the key installed on the caliper to zero the display number.
3 Now open the jaws of the caliper with your thumb and after placing the object between the two jaws of the caliper, close the jaws so that the jaws touch the object.
4 Then you can read the size on the screen.
