The Absolute Digimatic Calliper, model 500-505-10, keeps track of its origin point after being established. The real slider position is shown on the huge LCD screen whenever the device is turned on and ready to begin measuring. With absolute encoder technology, there is no longer a need for repetitive zero setup or attention to overspeed faults. For incremental comparative measurements, the display may be zero-set at any slider point along the scale by pressing the ZERO/ABS key. This option also enables the reversion to absolute (ABS) coordinates and displays the real location relative to the origin point, which is often the point where the jaws are closed.

Function

• First, make sure the caliper jaws are clean.
• The existence of pleats, dust, etc. between the jaws of the caliper causes measurement errors.
• Then, after closing the jaws, use the key installed on the caliper to zero the display number.
