Hioki RM2610 Electrode Resistance Measurement System

Overview

The Hioki RM2610 Electrode Resistance Measurement System isolates and quantifies the resistance characteristics of electrode sheets, a major component of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). It separates the total resistance into two components: the composite layer resistance and the interface (contact) resistance between the composite layer and the current collector.

The system visualizes these two quantities by scanning the surface of the electrode sheet with a test fixture containing an array of 46 test probes, then applying proprietary inverse-problem analysis of the potential distribution to quantify them. This gives battery developers a powerful tool for understanding and improving electrode design and manufacturing processes.
