MET ONE TACMET II Weather Station

Overview

The Met One TACMET II is a rugged, lightweight sonic weather sensor for field-deployable meteorological monitoring. It measures surface winds, temperature, humidity and barometric pressure in a single compact unit, using a folded-path, low-power sonic anemometer with no moving parts for reliable operation in adverse conditions.

The TACMET II measures wind speed up to 62 m/s and direction over a full 360°, outputting data over RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485. Designed for rapid one-person deployment on a tripod or vehicle mast, it operates from 9.5–36 VDC across -40 to +60 °C, making it ideal for tactical, emergency-response and remote field use.
