Kyoritsu KEW 4506 Intelligent Socket Tester

Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 4506 is an intelligent socket tester that quickly identifies wiring issues — including the difficult-to-detect Neutral-Earth reverse connection — simply by plugging into a socket and pressing the test button. In about one second it checks the voltage and the correct wiring and polarity of Line, Neutral and Earth. It works on TT earth systems and, combined with the KEW 8343, on TN-S systems, and can test single-phase outlets connected to 3-phase 4-wire, single-phase 3-wire and single-phase 2-wire supplies. A low test current avoids tripping RCDs, making it safe on protected circuits.
