Megger Vidar Vacuum Interrupter Tester
The Megger VIDAR Vacuum Interrupter Tester is an essential tool for electrical industry professionals, offering a fast and efficient way to assess the condition of vacuum interrupters. This tester is specifically engineered to evaluate the vacuum interrupter’s capability to prevent flashovers, a crucial aspect in maintaining the reliability and safety of circuit breakers.
When a vacuum circuit breaker is commissioned or undergoes routine testing, it’s crucial to verify the integrity of the vacuum interrupter before returning it to service. The VIDAR allows you to quickly and conveniently assess the condition of the vacuum interrupter by leveraging the established relationship between flashover voltage and the interrupter’s integrity.
A suitable test voltage (DC) is applied to the interrupter, and the result is known immediately. VIDAR permits you to select among test voltages from 10 to 60 kV DC. One of these voltages is customized and specified by the customer when ordering. A green lamp indicates the approval of the interrupter. A red lamp indicates that it is defective. Two-hand control and a high-voltage warning lamp enhance safety.
