Overview
The measurement of air flow velocity and the correct calculation of volume flow at ventilation outlets can present a challenge, because the turbulence created there and differing flow directions make accurate measurement more difficult. Air turbulence is particularly strong at swirl outlets, which makes higher measuring inaccuracies likely. The Testo 417 Set 2 is designed specifically to overcome this.
The set includes the testo 417 vane anemometer with an integrated 100 mm impeller, which simultaneously measures air velocity, volume flow and temperature, together with two measurement funnels and a volume flow straightener. The straightener conditions the airflow at swirl diffusers so precise measurements can be taken, ideally equipping you for volume flow measurements at plate outlets, ventilation grilles and swirl outlets alike.
