Overview

To establish whether an air-conditioning or ventilation system is functioning properly, you need to check the flow speed or volume flow in the ventilation duct. If the airflow velocity is too low, room loads are not correctly discharged and optimum room air quality can no longer be guaranteed. The Testo 425 hot wire anemometer is built precisely for this task.

With a fixed thermal flow probe on a telescope, the testo 425 reaches into ducts to measure air velocity and temperature and to calculate volume flow from the entered duct area. Fine 0.01 m/s velocity resolution, a clear display and simple handheld operation make it a reliable everyday tool for HVAC service, commissioning and balancing.
