Overview
The Kyoritsu KEW 6516 is a versatile multifunction installation tester designed to test and troubleshoot electrical installations in line with the latest safety standards, putting comprehensive inspection capability in the hands of the electrical professional. It performs the full range of installation tests — continuity, insulation (250/500/1000 V), loop/Zs, RCD, earth resistance and phase sequence — and adds two valuable extras: an SPD (surge-protector) trigger-voltage test that checks rheostat-type protectors without damaging them, and a PAT function that tests insulation resistance and earth continuity of class I and II portable appliances. Test data can be downloaded via a USB adapter (model 8212-USB) and printed as complete PC reports that compare measured Zs values against the standard’s required limits.
