Kyoritsu KEW 7265 Guard Cord (3000 mm)

Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 7265 is a genuine guard cord for use with Kyoritsu high-resistance insulation testers. Approximately 3000 mm long, it connects the instrument’s guard terminal to the guard ring of the test object. When measuring very high insulation resistances, surface leakage across the insulation can introduce error; the guard cord diverts that surface-leakage current away from the measuring circuit so that only the true volume-resistance is measured — giving accurate readings at the highest megohm/gigohm ranges.

Using the correct genuine guard cord ensures accurate, safe measurements and full compatibility with the instrument, and keeping a spare on hand avoids downtime if a cord is damaged in the field.
