Overview

The Megger FOS4 is a fibre-optic transmission system for partial discharge (PD) measurement. It digitises the signal from a PD sensor and transmits it over a fibre-optic link to the FOR4D receiver unit, providing full galvanic isolation between the measurement point and the instrument. Controlled by ICMacoustic software, it is used for reliable PD detection and location on high-voltage equipment and cables.
