The DT-906A is uniquely equipped to check 30mA Residual Current Devices (RCDs). It features a soft-touch button that applies a nominal 30mA earth fault current, ensuring that an RCD in the circuit trips within 300 milliseconds if functioning correctly. This critical test can help prevent severe electrical accidents and enhance user safety. Additionally, the earth volts touchpad is a significant safety feature that detects raised earth voltages over 50V AC. This capability is vital for identifying potentially dangerous installations where elevated earth voltages may pose a risk of electric shock or fire.
Visual and auditory feedback from the DT-906A is provided through three vivid bicolour LEDs and a buzzer.
