Elcometer 1542 Cross Hatch Adhesion Tester

For testing the cross-hatch adhesion of coatings up to 250 m (9.8 mils) on flat surfaces and test panels, the Elcometer 1542 Cross Hatch Adhesion Tester is the best option.

Using the included hexagonal wrench, rapidly adjust the position of the guide wheel to measure on large or small panels.There are 8 cutting faces on each cutter wheel. Rotate the cutting wheel to the subsequent face when one face becomes worn.

For a variety of coating thicknesses, the Elcometer 1542 is offered with three different cutter spacings (1, 2 & 3mm).

In addition to the brush, magnifier, and ISO or ASTM adhesive tape that is included in the Full Kit, the Elcometer 1542 is also available on its own (Basic Kit). Additionally, there are Advanced Kits that come with either ISO or ASTM adhesive tape and all three cross-hatch adhesion testers (1, 2 & 3mm).

The Elcometer 1542 can be purchased separately (Basic Kit) or as part of a Full Kit that also comes with a brush, magnifier, and ISO or ASTM adhesive tape. Additionally, there are Advanced Kits that come with either ISO or ASTM adhesive tape and all three cross-hatch adhesion testers (1, 2 & 3mm).
