Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 8406 is a genuine surface-type temperature probe for use with Kyoritsu multimeters and clamp meters that offer a temperature-measurement function. Its surface (contact) design is shaped to sit flat against a surface — such as a cable, terminal, motor casing or pipe — to read its temperature, which is useful for spotting overheating connections and monitoring equipment during electrical maintenance.

Approximately 1380 mm long, the KEW 8406 measures from −40 °C to +500 °C. Using the correct genuine probe ensures accurate readings and full compatibility with the instrument, and keeping a spare on hand avoids downtime if a probe is damaged in the field.
