Overview
The Megger PDS 62-SIN is a portable partial discharge detection and localisation system designed to assess cable quality and condition during VLF testing. With an integrated PD coupler and 62 kV peak rating, it combines the coupling unit and PD measurement in one compact instrument – described as the lightest PD measuring unit on the market – making high-quality cable diagnostics easy to deploy on site.
Measuring to IEC 60270 with a sensitivity down to 2 pC and self-noise below 2 pC, the PDS 62-SIN accurately detects and quantifies partial discharge, then locates the source along cable lengths up to 16 km with ±1% accuracy. Real-time general and localised PRPD displays let engineers recognise defect types immediately, without post-processing.
