Megger TDR1000/3P Handheld Time Domain Reflectometer

Overview

The Megger TDR1000/3P is a handheld time domain reflectometer (TDR) for locating faults such as opens, shorts, water ingress and joints on metallic cable pairs. The “P” version is supplied with fused test leads that allow it to be connected safely to live systems up to 150 V CAT IV, making it particularly suited to power-cable technicians who need to test energised circuits.

Ranges from 10 m up to 5 km with 0.1 m resolution and a 2 ns pulse for near-end faults cover most fault-finding jobs, while an AUTO set-up mode, dual cursors and trace HOLD make results quick and easy to interpret on the backlit 256 × 128 graphic display. Long battery life (up to 14 hours), an IP54-rated case and CAT IV 150 V safety make it a dependable field instrument for telecom and power applications.
