The Megger TDS 40-P is a high-performance cable testing and diagnostics system designed for medium- and high-voltage power cables. Combining Very Low Frequency (VLF) cosine-rectangular and Damped AC (DAC) technologies in a single system, it ensures precise fault detection, sheath testing, and advanced cable diagnostics in the field.
The TDS 40-P provides up to 40 kV RMS VLF and 40 kVpeak DAC output, with leakage current measurement down to 10 µA resolution, making it ideal for condition assessment and predictive maintenance. Sheath fault pinpointing at 3–10 kV with multiple pulse ratios (1:3 / 1:5 / 1:9) ensures accurate location of insulation defects.
With integrated safety devices such as breakdown detection, automatic discharge, and earth loop monitoring, the TDS 40-P is engineered for both safety and reliability. Reporting is simplified with automatic result storage and evaluation software, while optional PD detection (PDS 60) enables precise partial discharge analysis for advanced diagnostics.
