Megger TDS 60-P Cable Testing and Diagnosis System

Overview

The Megger TDS 60-P is a portable cable testing and diagnosis system rated to 60 kV, suited to medium- and higher-voltage cable circuits. Like the 40 kV TDS 40-P it unites VLF, DAC (damped AC) and DC withstand testing with diagnostics – partial discharge (to IEC 60270) and tan delta – plus sheath testing and fault pinpointing, but with higher output for longer or higher-voltage cables.

VLF output up to 60 kV RMS at 0.1 Hz tests cables with up to 2 µF capacitance (Plus version), while DAC and DC modes broaden the available test methods. Integrated safety features – breakdown detection, a discharge unit and earth-loop monitoring – protect operator and cable. Mains-powered and supplied as a two-unit system, the TDS 60-P is a complete, transportable solution for utilities and contractors assessing higher-voltage cable networks.
