Overview

The Met One Model 820457 is a compact ultrasonic wind sensor featuring durable, corrosion-resistant construction with sensitive ultrasonic transducers secured in a streamlined moulded frame. Fully wind-tunnel tested and with no moving parts, it provides accurate, maintenance-free wind speed and direction measurement for meteorological and industrial applications.

The 820457 measures wind speed up to 75 m/s and direction over a full 360° with fast sub-0.25-second response. It offers RS-232/RS-485 serial and analog outputs in multiple formats, operates from -40 to +60 °C on 10–30 VDC, and carries an IP65 rating for reliable outdoor use.
