MET ONE Photovoltaic Station Weather System

Overview

The Met One Photovoltaic Station Weather System is an automated weather station designed specifically for solar resource assessment and solar-farm power-generation monitoring. Easily customised, it combines pyranometers, meteorological sensors and a panel-temperature thermistor to provide the data needed to evaluate and optimise PV plant performance.

The standard array includes two pyranometers for global, horizontal and plane-of-array irradiance, a wind sensor, an ambient temperature/humidity sensor and a surface thermistor for module temperature. Data are captured by an IMP-series or AutoMet logger in a NEMA 4X enclosure, with tripod mounting, flexible telemetry and AC or solar power options.
