Product Overview
Metal hardness testing on-site is quick and simple with the Mitech MH600 portable Leeb hardness tester’s intuitive design. With color LCD display, it can also display clear testing results in dim light and strong sunlight environment, which greatly enhances the visual experience; specific multi-point calibration function for convert curve to reduce errors; it can automatically identify the measuring direction when testing, automatically alarm when out of range, to meet the inspection requirement; and IP65 protection, can effectively prevent oil, dust, and other corrosion in harsh field environments. Hardness conversion; two AA batteries used for minimal power consumption; multilingual support.

Working Principle
The main idea is to apply an impact body of a specific weight to the testing surface while applying a specific test force, then measure the impacting and rebounding velocities of the impact body while the spherically shaped test tip is positioned 1mm above the testing surface, respectively.
The following is the calculating formula:
- HL=1000×VB/ VA
Where:
- HL—— Leeb hardness value.
- VB—— Rebounding velocity of the impact body.
- VA—— Impacting velocity of the impact body.
