1. First, make sure to “zero”/reset the LCD reading before taking a measurement.
2. When the display shows “0”, start rotating the thumb until the inner or outer jaws make firm contact with the object.
3. Use the outer (lower) jaws to read the outer diameter of an object and the inner (upper) jaws to measure the inner diameter.
