Reinforced carbon fiber polymers (CFRP) are used in the beam and jaws of the Mitutoyo ABSOLUTE digital carbon fiber caliper to reduce weight and improve durability.

The optional interchangeable jaws may be changed quickly and easily thanks to a special clamping mechanism. For simpler, automated recording, measurements are shown on a digital LCD readout with SPC output.
