The NOVOTEST U1-TL stand is designed for measuring the hardness of ultra-thin sheet materials. It is compatible with any UCI probes used in NOVOTEST hardness testers. Thin sheets often lack sufficient resistance when the UCI probe indenter applies pressure, causing deformation under load. This device compensates for that deformation, ensuring accurate hardness measurements.

For a secure fit to the stand base, it is recommended to apply couplant to the back of the product. Tighten the clamping screw firmly, remove the nozzle from the UCI probe, and place the probe in the designated groove to perform the test. To ensure accurate results, at least three measurements should be taken, with the values averaged.
