Overview

The Emerson AMS Trex HART Device Communicator (LHPKLWS3S) is a rugged, portable tool for configuring, calibrating and troubleshooting HART field instruments across process plants. It combines powerful processing with an intuitive colour touchscreen, giving instrument technicians full access to device commissioning, calibration and maintenance functions directly in the field.

Built around an 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor with 512 MB DDR3 SDRAM and the Windows Embedded Compact 2013 operating system, the AMS Trex drives a 5.7-inch colour VGA resistive touchscreen (640 × 480) for clear menu navigation. Its rugged construction — an IP54 enclosure that survives a 1-metre drop onto concrete — and 8-plus hours of battery life make it dependable in demanding petrochemical, pharmaceutical and manufacturing environments.
