Kyoritsu KEW 8123 Load Current Clamp Sensor

Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 8123 is a clamp-on load current sensor used to measure AC current without breaking the circuit. Rather than displaying a reading itself, it clamps around a conductor and outputs a low-level voltage signal proportional to the current flowing, which is fed to a compatible Kyoritsu measuring instrument or power meter. This makes it ideal for current and power measurements on larger cables and for connecting current inputs to Kyoritsu power analysers.

The KEW 8123 handles conductors up to 55 mm in diameter and a rated AC current of 1000 A, with an output ratio of 0.5 mV/A over a 40 Hz to 1 kHz frequency range and an accuracy of ±2.0% at 50/60 Hz. It connects via an approximately 2 m lead terminated in a MINI DIN 6-pin plug and is designed for use with Kyoritsu models such as the 1051, 1052, 1061, 1062, 5010, 5020 and 5050 (check the applicable model list). It is rated to CAT III 600 V.
