Kyoritsu KEW 4202 Digital Earth Clamp Tester (Bluetooth)

Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 4202 is a clamp-on digital earth tester that measures earth resistance simply by clamping around an earth conductor or rod — no auxiliary earth spikes or disconnection required. This makes it quick and convenient for checking earthing on multiple-earthing systems such as tower footings, distribution earths and parallel-earthed installations. As the connected version of the family, it adds Bluetooth and USB so results can be logged and shared with a phone, tablet or PC.

The KEW 4202 measures earth resistance on 20 / 200 / 1500 Ω ranges through a 32 mm jaw, and also measures AC leakage current from 100 mA up to 30 A — letting earthing condition and leakage be assessed with one tool. It stores up to 100 readings, transfers them by Bluetooth 5.0 or USB, and includes data hold, a noise-filter function with a noise-warning mark and auto power-off. It is rated to a high CAT IV 300 V and runs from four AA batteries. As a clamp-on tester it is for multiple-earthing systems and cannot measure a single isolated earth.
