Kyoritsu KEW 8124 Load Current Clamp Sensor (1000 A)

Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 8124 is a load current clamp sensor used to measure AC current without breaking the circuit. It clamps around a conductor and outputs a low-level voltage proportional to the current flowing, which is fed to a compatible Kyoritsu power meter or power quality analyzer. Its large 68 mm jaw suits it to the heavy cables and busbars found in switchboards and distribution systems.

The KEW 8124 is rated for AC current up to 1000 A with an output ratio of 0.5 mV/A over a 40 Hz to 1 kHz range, and a high accuracy of ±0.5% at 50/60 Hz. It connects via an approximately 3 m lead terminated in a MINI DIN 6-pin plug and is designed for use with Kyoritsu instruments such as the KEW 5010, 5020, 5050, 6300, 6305, 6310 and 6315.
