Megger Teleflex VX Cable Fault Reflectometer

Overview

The Megger Teleflex VX is a high-performance cable fault prelocation reflectometer used to locate faults on power cables before pinpointing. It combines classic time-domain reflectometry (TDR) with the advanced high-voltage methods needed for real cable faults – arc reflection, impulse-current decoupling (ICE) and voltage decay – so it can prelocate low- and high-resistance faults quickly and accurately.

With a measurement range up to 1280 km, 400 MHz sampling and resolution to 0.1 m, the Teleflex VX resolves faults precisely, while a large 15-inch colour display makes the reflectograms easy to interpret. Ethernet and USB connectivity, generous on-board storage and both rack-mount and portable versions make it a flexible core instrument for cable-fault test vans and workshops.
