Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 8115 is an AC/DC current clamp sensor that extends the current-measuring range of almost any digital multimeter without breaking the circuit under test. Clamping around a single conductor, it converts current into a proportional voltage output of 10 mV/A that the multimeter reads. It handles a wide range — 0.1 A to 130 A (185 A peak) for AC and up to ±180 A for DC — covering everything from low-current testing to higher-power applications, with smooth, interference-free readings. Used together with a KEW 1051 or 1052 multimeter, the display can be set for direct reading in amps, making it a convenient, versatile tool for industrial maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
