Megger PS9130 and PS9160 Universal Circuit Breaker Test Sets

Overview

The Megger PS9130 and PS9160 are high-current universal circuit breaker test sets used to verify the trip characteristics of low-voltage power and molded-case circuit breakers with thermal-magnetic or solid-state trip units. They deliver very high test currents – up to 4,500 A continuous and 60,000 A instantaneous on the PS9130, and up to 6,250 A continuous and 100,000 A instantaneous on the PS9160 – so even the largest LV breakers can be tested at realistic fault levels.

Both models share the same automated PLC-2000 microprocessor control with digital timer, digital ammeter and printer interface, and are compatible with breakers from all major manufacturers. The PS9160 simply offers greater current capacity than the PS9130 for the most demanding applications, making the pair a scalable solution for switchgear test shops and commissioning teams.
