Elcometer 106 Pull-Off Adhesion Tester

An adhesive is used to attach a test dolly to the coating. The spring system inside the Elcometer 106 adhesion tester lifts the dolly as the tension is raised.

An indication on the scale displays the numerical value of adhesion strength when the coating is taken off the surface in terms of the force per unit area needed to remove the covering.

Transport side testing is required to determine the failure mode.

To increase sensitivity at low values or for uneven surfaces, a 40 mm (1.52″) slide is available. When a 40 mm (1.52″) slide is used, divide the reading. of the scale for 4.
