Overview

The Megger NTS300A is a purpose-built network protector test set for utilities that operate low-voltage secondary networks. It performs complete operational tests on 216 V and 480 V network protectors and troubleshoots their electromechanical and solid-state relays — including master, phasing and desensitising relays — from a single, self-contained instrument.

The NTS300A provides adjustable trip current, closing voltage and supply voltage together with switch-selectable phase angles and a high-precision digital timer, so engineers can carry out close/trip, reverse-current, overvoltage, time-delay and watt-var characteristic tests. Autoranging digital meters, a phase-sequence indicator and clear relay-position lamps make results easy to read during field or workshop testing.
