Megger T3090 Time Domain Reflectometer

Overview

The Megger T3090 is a versatile time domain reflectometer (TDR) and cable fault locator for power distribution cables. It combines classic low-voltage pulse-echo TDR with the high-voltage methods needed to locate real cable faults – arc reflection (ARM) and, on optional models, surge (thumping) and sectionalizing – so it can prelocate both simple and difficult faults from one instrument.

With a measurement range up to 25,000 ft as standard (100,000 ft on X models), selectable pulse widths, 100 MHz sampling and adjustable velocity of propagation, the T3090 resolves faults precisely. A bright, sunlight-readable 10.4-inch colour display shows up to ten superimposed traces for easy comparison, and USB connectivity allows data transfer and upgrades.
