Product Overview

A multi-color TFT LCD and a variety of innovative capabilities are included in the modern digital ultrasonic flaw detector Mitech MFD620C, which was designed to fulfill demanding inspection standards. Mitech MFD620C has strong fault identification and measuring skills, a large amount of data storage, and a high-speed USB interface for sending comprehensive inspection data to a PC.

Function & application

Mitech MFD620C has a wide range of applications, including the detection and size of concealed cracks, voids, disbands, and other discontinuities in welds, forgings, billets, axles, shafts, tanks, pressure vessels, turbines, and structural elements.

Working Principle

1. When a flaw appears in a workpiece made of homogeneous material, the defect will reveal the interface between the defect and the workpiece’s other media.

2. The pulsating ultrasonic wave will create reflection when it comes into contact with the interface because the acoustic resistance is different there.

3. The probe will take in the energy that has been reflected. The fault depth in the workpiece will then be represented by a reflection waveform at a specific abscissa point on the display screen.

4. Due to various imperfections, each of which reflects the nature of the defect, the height and form of the reflecting wave will change.
