PCE-RT 11 Surface Testing – Roughness Tester
The Surface Tester PCE-RT 11 is a compact and portable instrument designed to measure surface roughness, including Ra, Rz, Rq, and Rt parameters, all in a single device. This small roughness tester is tailored for quick assessments of surface texture. Surface roughness, a key concept in surface physics, refers to the irregularities in the height of a surface.
Operating on the piezoelectric micro probe principle, similar to the one used in highly precise laboratory equipment, the roughness tester offers straightforward operation and consistently accurate results. With a simple press of a button, the piezoelectric micro probe quickly scans the surface and digitally displays the roughness value, based on the selected cut-off length, choosing from Ra, Rz, Rq, or Rt.
