Testo 635-1 Temperature and Humidity Measuring Instrument

Overview

The Testo 635-1 temperature and humidity measuring instrument is perfect for monitoring air humidity, temperature and dew points in a wide range of settings, including living areas, production facilities, storage areas, server rooms, museums and cold stores. It also allows quick and efficient measurement of ambient absolute pressure and of the dew point in compressed air.

As a modular instrument, the testo 635-1 works with plug-in and optional radio probes, so it can be tailored to the task in hand. It allows automatic printing of data at regular intervals, for example once per minute, making it an excellent tool for ongoing monitoring and documentation of climate and compressed-air conditions — for example, a cold-store QA check of dew-point distance to walls with timed printouts for the audit trail.

Who it is for: QA, HVAC and facility teams that need a modular handheld for air humidity, temperature, dew point (including compressed-air pressure dew point) and absolute pressure with interchangeable probes. For always-on shelf display without probes, see the Testo 608-H1; for long-term logging, consider a Testo 176 T1 logger.

Key Features

• Measures air temperature, humidity and dew point (probe-dependent)
• Ambient absolute pressure (typically to 2000 hPa with suitable probe) and compressed-air pressure dew point
• Two cable probe inputs plus optional radio module for up to three wireless probes
• Calculates dew point and dew-point distance (useful for mould / condensation checks)
• Automatic printing at regular intervals for documentation (with optional fast printer)
• Ideal for storage, server rooms, museums and cold stores
• Hold, min/max and mean functions for convenient measurement

Applications

• Climate monitoring in living, production and storage areas
• Server room, museum and cold-store condition monitoring
• Compressed-air pressure dew point measurement
• Documented long-term temperature and humidity monitoring

FAQ

Are probes included with the Testo 635-1?
No. Probes are ordered separately. The instrument can only be commissioned once a compatible temperature/humidity (or other) probe is attached.

Can it measure compressed-air dew point?
Yes, with the appropriate pressure dew-point probe. Ambient absolute pressure is also supported with a suitable probe.

What is dew-point distance used for?
It compares indoor-air dew point with a wall surface temperature to give an early indication of condensation or mould risk from ventilation vs moisture ingress.
