Overview

The Megger TDR2000/3 is a dual-channel, high-resolution time domain reflectometer for locating faults on paired metallic cables. Its two channels allow a faulty pair to be compared directly against a healthy one, so opens, shorts, joints, water ingress and other impedance changes stand out clearly – a powerful advantage for telecom, power and general cable technicians.

Ranges from 10 m up to 20 km with 0.1 m resolution cover most jobs, and a large colour WVGA display makes traces easy to read outdoors. Selectable output impedance and velocity factor, dual-trace and dual-cursor comparison, a built-in power-blocking filter for connection to live systems up to 150 V CAT IV, 100 trace memories and USB download with TraceXpert software make it a complete, self-contained fault-finding tool.
