The Hioki PQ3198 is the flagship analyzer for detecting power supply anomalies, ensuring your measurements meet the strict IEC 61000-4-30 Ed. 3 Class A standard. This compliance makes the PQ3198 an essential tool for resolving disputes between utility providers and industrial consumers, as its data is legally viable for verifying power quality compliance.

Unlike basic models, the PQ3198-94 bundle is purpose-built for heavy industry and main distribution panels. It comes standard with four CT7045 Flexible Current Sensors, which are rated for up to 6000 A AC. These flexible loops (180mm diameter) can easily wrap around thick cables and busbars in crowded cabinets where rigid clamp sensors simply cannot fit.

Power line noise and sub-microsecond voltage spikes can damage sensitive electronics without warning. The PQ3198 samples voltage at 2 MHz (2 million samples per second), allowing it to capture and record transient overvoltages as fast as 0.5 μs (up to 6000V peak).

The instrument features isolated voltage channels, enabling you to measure power and efficiency across two separate circuits simultaneously. This is particularly useful for:

• EV Chargers: Measuring primary (AC) and secondary (DC) sides simultaneously.
