Megger S1-1568 15 kV Diagnostic Insulation Tester

Overview

The Megger S1-1568 is a top-of-range diagnostic insulation resistance tester delivering test voltages up to 15 kV. Designed for testing high-voltage rotating machines, cables, transformers, bushings and switchgear, it measures insulation resistance up to 35 TΩ and offers the full suite of diagnostic tests – timed IR, polarisation index (PI), dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), dielectric discharge (DD), stepped voltage (SV) and ramp – needed to assess insulation condition and trend it over time.

Strong noise immunity (up to 8 mA from 2800 V to 15 kV) and a guard terminal keep readings stable in electrically noisy substation environments. A large backlit display, on-board data logging, USB and Bluetooth connectivity to PowerDB, dual Li-ion batteries and a CAT IV 1000 V rating make it a capable, safe instrument for demanding HV diagnostics. (The S1-568 and S1-1068 offer the same features at 5 kV and 10 kV respectively.)
