Kyoritsu KEW 3127 High Voltage Insulation Tester (5 kV)

Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 3127 is a top-of-range diagnostic high-voltage insulation tester built to ensure the integrity and safety of electrical systems in demanding environments. It measures insulation resistance up to 10 TΩ with test voltages from 250 V to 5000 V and a strong 5 mA short-circuit current for fast charging of large capacitive loads. Beyond basic IR it performs a comprehensive set of diagnostic tests — polarization index (PI), dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), dielectric discharge (DD), step voltage (SV) and ramp testing in both breakdown and burn modes — plus capacitance and leakage-current measurement. Bluetooth wireless communication makes it easy to capture and share results, so it excels at both routine maintenance and detailed fault diagnosis.
