Kyoritsu KEW 3132A Analogue Insulation and Continuity Tester

Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 3132A is a compact, lightweight analogue insulation and continuity tester for checking the safety of electrical wiring and equipment. Its needle display gives an intuitive, at-a-glance indication that many electricians prefer, and at just 560 g in an IP54-rated, drop-resistant housing it is easy to carry and dependable in the field. It combines high-voltage insulation testing with low-resistance continuity testing and AC voltage measurement in one simple instrument.

The KEW 3132A offers insulation test voltages of 250, 500 and 1000 V, with scales to 100, 200 and 400 MΩ, and performs continuity testing with a roughly 200 mA test current — meeting wiring-regulation requirements — along with AC voltage measurement up to 600 V. A high CAT III 600 V safety rating makes it suitable for installation work, and it runs from six AA batteries.
