Megger TDR2050 Two-Channel Cable Fault Locator

Overview

The Megger TDR2050 is the most advanced instrument in the TDR2000 dual-channel time domain reflectometer range. It locates faults on paired metallic cables – opens, shorts, joints, water ingress and other impedance changes – and its higher 600 V CAT IV input protection makes it suitable for connecting to live power cables, an important advantage for power distribution technicians.

As well as the dual-channel comparison, colour WVGA display and 20 km range of the TDR2000 range, the TDR2050 adds Step TDR (for higher-resolution near-end analysis), Distance-Dependent Gain (to keep distant reflections clear) and FindEnd (to automatically identify the cable end). A built-in power-blocking filter, 100 trace memories, USB download and TraceXpert software round out a powerful, self-contained fault-finding tool.
