Amprobe LM 120
The Amprobe LM-120 light meter is designed to measure visible light from various sources, including fluorescent, metal halide, high-pressure sodium, and incandescent lighting. This portable, user-friendly digital light meter allows for simple, one-handed operation, providing readings in either lumens (lux) or foot-candle (fc) units.
The LM-120 offers a broad measurement range, capable of detecting light levels up to 20,000 fc or 200,000 lux, with precise resolution down to 0.01 fc/lux. It features both auto-ranging and manual ranging modes, as well as the ability to zero out readings before taking measurements for added accuracy.
Utilize the LM-120 light meter to measure indoor illumination levels and adjust lighting fixtures accordingly, whether turning them off, lowering, or increasing their output. By doing so, you can significantly enhance the efficiency of the building’s lighting system, reducing its overall energy consumption.
One lux is defined as the light from a one candela source shining perpendicularly on a one-square-meter surface from a distance of one meter. Similarly, one foot-candle represents the light from a one candela source shining perpendicularly on a one-square-foot surface from a distance of one foot. The conversion between these units is: 1 foot-candle equals 10.764 lux, and 1 lux equals 0.09290 foot-candles.
