What ranges does the PM55A cover?

AC/DC voltage up to 600 V, DC/AC microamps up to 2000 µA, resistance to 6 MΩ, capacitance to 2000 µF and frequency to 30 kHz.

How does AutoTect™ help with ghost voltages?

AutoTect™ uses a low-impedance (LoZ) input to suppress induced or phantom voltages and auto-selects V AC, V DC or Ω.

What does VolTect™ indicate?

It’s a non-contact voltage detector with bar-graph and beeper for 50/60 Hz fields, from low indication through full scale above ~120 V AC.

Protective silicone holster (H-PMA), zippered case (VC3A), battery installed (CR2032), attached test leads and user manual.

What are the safety ratings?

CAT II 600 V / CAT III 300 V, with 4 kV transient protection and overload protection to 600 V.

Description

Amprobe PM55A Pocket Multimeter with VolTect Non-Contact Voltage Detection

The Amprobe PM55A Pocket Multimeter with VolTect™ is a highly compact and versatile tool designed for professionals and DIY enthusiasts who need a reliable multimeter on the go. Its sleek, pocket-sized form factor makes it easy to carry, while the advanced features packed into the device ensure that it meets a wide range of electrical testing needs.

The PM55A stands out due to its ultra-slim profile, making it one of the thinnest multimeters available. This is ideal for technicians who need to keep tools light and portable without compromising functionality.

Another standout feature of this pocket multimeter is AutoTect, which automatically detects and selects between AC and DC voltage, or resistance measurement, depending on the test point where the leads are connected. It is fully auto-ranging, offering nine different measurement functions, along with advanced features typically found in larger, more expensive meters.
