Fluke 941 Overview

Whether an office desk, a storage aisle or a hospital corridor is lit to its design level is a question of numbers, not impressions. The Fluke 941 gives those numbers in lux or foot-candles, from dim corridors up to 200,000 lux, with a separate sensor head on a cord so you can place it on the working plane and read the meter at a comfortable angle. Fluke rates it for fluorescent, metal halide, high-pressure sodium and incandescent light.

In the UAE, facility and HSE teams typically use the 941 to document lux levels at handover of fit-out and LED retrofit projects, and to re-check offices, warehouses and car parks during planned maintenance.

Can the Fluke 941 measure LED lighting?

Fluke specifies ±3% accuracy against a 2854 K incandescent source and ±6% for other visible light sources, so LED readings fall under the ±6% figure.

What does the zero adjust do?

Fluke notes that the sensor’s null point drifts over time. Cover the sensor and press ZERO; the display shows “ADJ” and then reads 00.0 once the null point is reset.

Can it be used outdoors?

Fluke specifies the 941 for indoor use.
